What you can calculate
- A future date: "What is the date 90 days from today?" Useful for deadlines, trial periods, warranty and refund windows.
- A past date: "What was the date 6 weeks ago?" Handy for checking when something happened or for backdating records.
- Results can be expressed in days, weeks, months or years, and the page shows the weekday, the day of the year, the week number and how many days remain until notable dates.
How months and years are counted
Days and weeks are fixed lengths, so adding 30 days is exact. Months vary between 28 and 31 days, so adding one month to January 31 lands on the last day of February (the 28th, or the 29th in a leap year) rather than overflowing into March. Adding one year to February 29 gives February 28 of the next year. Leap years are handled automatically.
Good to know
- Calculations use calendar dates only, so daylight-saving changes and time zones do not shift the result.
- Business days and public holidays differ by country and are not excluded. For contractual deadlines, confirm the counting rule (inclusive or exclusive of the start day) in the contract itself.
- Every result has its own shareable address such as
/date-calculator?q=90-days-from-today.
